CM released ‘Swasthya Chintan’ Books for Young Students in Multiple Languages

The CM of Goa, Pramod Sawant, launched the 'Swasthya Chintan' series of materials, which target students in Classes I to IV and are meant to instil good health behaviours in young children.

The 'Swasthya Chintan' materials provide young learners with helpful life skills and communication methods that guarantee a healthy and prosperous life.

This series was penned by the Ayurvedic Physicians Dr. Aditya Barve and Dr. Swati Anvekar and produced by the Goa Education Development Council. In simple language, this series presents facts of medical knowledge in a form easy for children to digest. Furthermore, these materials use interesting artwork that can further explain concepts.

These materials are designed to impart necessary information on preventive healthcare and promote a healthy lifestyle that can reduce non-communicable diseases.

The CM, however, emphasized that teachers should familiarize themselves with the materials before introducing them to the students so that they can accrue the required benefits.

Sawant further said all the materials would be translated into various languages so that all are reached out to.
